Noosa District State High School is a co-educational secondary school comprised of a Year 8-9 campus in Pomona and a Year 8-12 campus in Cooroy in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. It is an Independent Public School with approximately 1250 students.
The school delivers a broad range of academic and vocational learning experiences. It is well renowned for its marine studies, agriculture, live theatre and production and hospitality programs. These are complimented by opportunities for students to excel in the cultural, sporting and leadership areas. The strong business and industry support within the school enables extension programs such as Australian Business Week, F1 Cars Technology Challenge and opportunities to study Aerospace (Gateway School).
The school’s motto is, ‘Industria Vincit Omnia', which means Industry Conquers All. It is used along with the vision of ‘Excellence Through Diversity', reflecting the school’s aspirations and achievements as a high performing school. Noosa District State High School is the first school to trial the Department of Education, Training and Employment endorsed connectivity solution for privately owned devices. Students at the Cooroy campus were given the option to participate in the trial starting in Term 1, 2014.
